D23 Expo 2019 New Releases

Hey, it’s Noah,

[Exciting News!] I was asked to create a special piece for this year’s D23 Expo August 23-25. Here is a sneak peek of my very limited pieces for D23 Expo that will be released in the Disney Dream Store. I wanted to share with you and my inspiration behind these pieces.

Home is Where Life Makes Up Its Mind

Morning time over coffee has been one of the most important times to come together and discuss the day as a couple. Each day we all face many challenges as we navigate this journey of life: raising kids, decisions in career, relationships and dreams we want to achieve. These mornings confirm the importance of how our homes provide safety and rest as we come and go. We leave each morning to embark on the adventure of the day only to return to our haven for rest and refilling our cup with those we love.

Whether it’s the familiar scents, sounds or family faces, this is our home base. Stories told over meals, friends around a fire pit or navigating the challenges that come with school, our house is home base.

I painted this image of Mickey and Minnie to be a wonderful reminder for us to fight for these moments and these mornings. The calendar on the wall reminds us of the importance of time being our most prized possession. How do we get more time with those we love? How do we fill the calendar with memories? How do we fill the calendar with dreams we will achieve? It is in these quiet moments in the morning that life makes up its mind.

It’s All About the Journey Not the Destination

When I reflected on Walt Disney’s story and the road he traveled to see his dreams realized, it reminded me of all the challenges and victories he faced to realize these dreams. Each dream came at a cost and sacrifice. No matter how hard things became he never gave up and was relentless in his pursuit of creating assets that impact families and lives around the world. This wasn’t an easy task. However, he continued to pursue the heart of his wife and children while inspiring those around him to become the best they could be. Whether it was artists and storytellers from the early studio days, to contractors, Imagineers and cast members in the parks, Walt enjoyed every part of the journey. Sure he had a grand dream of what it would look like one day but he soaked up the scenery and relationships through the process. May we all soak up the daily small moments that make up life and have joy in the process. I painted this image to show Mickey on the open road enjoying the ride, knowing he has a destination but savoring the journey.

There will only be 23 Of these canvases released. They are super limited so be sure to grab them if you have the “Sorcerer Package” and visit the Disney Dream Store upon entering the expo.
