The number one question I am asked most at festivals and signings…“What inspired you to create that piece?”
Walt arrived in Los Angeles with nothing but a suitcase and a dream. An idea sketched onto a napkin that became an empire far larger than even he envisioned. I want to share with you the background to why I created this piece “Storytellers,” and why it is so important to me.
What were the 3 things that brought his vision to life? Whether you are an artist, writer, musician, photographer, chef, teacher…the list goes on and on…
- INSPIRATION.
- COURAGE.
- FAILURE.
We create not just to live our own dreams, but to inspire others to live theirs.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT…
I am super excited to share that this newest piece, “Storytellers,” is now available for purchase online!
I painted “Storytellers” to commemorate the grand opening of Carthay Circle and to celebrate the beginning of Walt’s journey in California. Walt was on a mission and he wanted to impact families through storytelling and creativity.
This year has been challenging and you’ve had to overcome many obstacles. Be encouraged. I wanted this piece to be one that provides a reminder to stick to your journey and stay the course regardless of outside circumstances. Walt remained relentless in his pursuit and dreams and never quit. Today we get to enjoy so many stories and experiences because he stayed the course. Stories have the power to bring hope to the world.
Your story is your greatest asset. Thanks Walt for being bold in yours.
Have a great week!
P.S. Extra Announcement…My other newest piece “Home is Where Life Makes Up Its Mind” is ALSO now available for purchase online! You can find it in a variety of sizes to fit your home HERE!!
